The fashionable masses were out on Saturday for a day full of shopping, fashion, and fun at The Variety Runway Lights Fashion Show and Luncheon at The Chase Park Plaza. The event started with the opening of a chic boutique that housed several amazing auction items, plus a bevy of local offerings ranging from jewelry to artistic glass pieces. And although each attendee was undoubtedly excited about the main event (a New York-style fashion show from Lafayette 148), many were still hard-pressed to leave the boutique when the dimming lights beckoned.
FOX 2’s Mandy Murphey served as both auctioneer and emcee, but it was the inspiring confidence of the Variety Children’s Chorus and The Ameren PowerKids that really captivated the audience.

The show itself could be summed up in one word: amazing. It's probably best described with photos of some of our favorite looks from Lafayette 148 designer Edward Wilkerson, though.
