Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch
Ultimate New Year’s Eve Part at Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch
It doesn’t matter if you were naughty or nice—everyone celebrates the New Year. We let down our hair for one final bout of naughty before swearing eternal fealty to kale, Zumba, and eight hours of sleep every night—starting tomorrow. Here are a few solid, slightly off-the-beaten-path picks for the last night of 2018.
1. Angad Arts Hotel Roaring '20s NYE Ball
The Grand Ballroom at the Angad Arts Hotel, 3550 Samuel Shepard
$100 and up, VIP packages available, 8 p.m.
Gatsby who? Come cut a rug with the city’s most fabulous at the Angad Arts Hotel. The ’20s theme harks back to the building’s history as a home base for the Rockettes way back when. Don your gladdest rags and dance the night away.
2. A Stellar New Year’s Eve at The Moonrise Hotel
Moonrise Hotel, 6177 Delmar
Free, 5 p.m.
Get cosmic for the year’s final night. The Twilight Room on the Moonrise’s magical rooftop hosts a free party with dancing, a photo booth, and a Champagne toast at midnight. (While admission’s free, drinks are on you throughout the night.)
3. Silver Ballroom New Year’s Eve Party
The Silver Ballroom, 4701 Morganford
$30, 8 p.m.
Show off your inner pinball wizard at the Silver Ballroom. Entry gets you free play all night, and all the under-$5 drinks you can quaff. Expect groovy party favors and a Champagne toast at midnight.
4. A Totally SLLAWsome New Year’s Eve
The Heavy Anchor, 5226 Gravois
Free, 8 p.m.
The magnificent specimens of womanhood who comprise the Saint Louis Lady Arm Wrestlers are throwing down dance grooves to ring in the new year—though think “end of the ’80s” not “almost the beginning of the 2020s.” Bring money for your drinks. Free Champagne toast at midnight.
5. Cracker and Camper Van Beethoven
The Pageant, 6161 Delmar
$40, 9 p.m.
If your experience of the band Cracker stops with such early-’90s jams as “Low” and “Eurotrash Girl,” you should broaden your horizons—they have. The group, helmed by David Lowery, has just released its tenth studio album, Berkeley to Bakersfield. Lowery brings Cracker and his other band, Camper Van Beethoven, to ring in the new year at The Pageant.
Livery Company, 6728 S. Broadway
Free, 9 p.m.
If karaoke is your jam, why not spend the party-est night of the year belting out your favorite tunes for a rapt audience of your perhaps-tanked compatriots? The last/first edition of the year features host Drew Cox. $1 Hamms and board games before the music.
The Monocle, 4510 Manchester
$40 and up, VIP packages available, 8 p.m.
Get fancy and sleazy at the Monocle, transformed into a den of iniquity known as the Leopard Lounge. Showgirls! Magic! Games! Dancing! Enjoy snacks and specialty cocktails, as well as WellBeing non-alcoholic beer for those who like to have total recall of their debauchery.
Urban Breath, 2812 Sutton
$80 online, $100 at the door, 9 p.m. to 3 a.m.
There’s more to New Year’s than drinking, dancing, and smooching. Maybe you want your year to get off to more of a metaphysical and cleansing start. Groove to gongs, drums, and singing bowls throughout the night. Practitioners say the sounds are purifying and stress-relieving, which sounds like a pretty decent way to start a year.
Ballpark Village, 601 Clark
$70 and up, VIP and Meet & Greet packages available, 7 p.m.
Hosted by four cast members of Vanderpump Rules! including St. Louisan Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz, Ariana Madix, and Katie Maloney. Guests have their choice between three different ticket packages ranging from Cardinals Nation VIP, Brewhouse VIP, and a Meet & Greet with the cast. The best part (besides rubbing elbows with the glamorous cast and confetti) is that all ticket options are all-inclusive, including beverages and party favors.
Three Sixty, located in Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark, 1 S. Broadway
$150 and up, 9 p.m.–1 a.m.
This party offers one of the, if not the best views in St. Louis for the special night. There is a premium open bar, a buffet, Champagne toast, multiple performers, DJ Chris Brown (not that one), and snacks throughout the night. Stick around for the fireworks, with that view, we're sure they'll be a knockout.
