The John Simon Guggenheim Foundation just announced its 2009 fellows, and two St. Louisans made the cut: Richard M. Cook, Professor of English, and Chair, Department of English, University of Missouri, St. Louis, for his work on a book of Alfred Kazin's journals; and Marshall N. Klimasewiski, Senior Writer-in-residence and Director of the Writing Program, Washington University in St. Louis, for his fiction. Congrats to both. -- Stephen Schenkenberg
