Where to brunch in the heart of Webster Groves
Need a spot to get your brunch on in Webster Groves? Check out a few options below
Brunch has no rules. It can be breakfast, lunch, or both. It a scheduled event with family for holidays or a last minute decision the Sunday after a night out. This is a casual meal with no stuffy dress code or expectations. Kick off the covers, slide out of bed and make your way to the nearest Bloody Mary bar.
With really only two chances a week to eat a proper brunch, it’s important to pick the right place. Whether looking more for the booze or the bites, there are plenty of options to choose from. The three options below in Webster Groves have a little bit of something for everyone.
Cyrano’s Cafe
Located in the heart of Webster Groves, Cyrano's Cafe is a perfect choice for both the booze and the bites. With a $5 Bloody Mary bar and $5 Mimosas and Bellinis, those looking for a mid-morning drink will not leave thirsty. For those not interested in the booze, try their coffee. Their relationship with Blueprint Coffee and an affinity for speciality coffee drinks makes for a variety of options for the coffee lovers out there.
The bites are just as impressive. The French Toast,–made with the same brioche they make their bread pudding with–is mouthwatering. The Quiche is made in-house from scratch each week. To entice those looking for something a little different than standard brunch fare, they offer specials featuring Sugarfire meats, such as the Sugarfire Brisket Skillet topped with poached eggs.
The best thing about this brunch? It’s available later than most, lasting until 3:00PM.
Half & Half
The Webster Groves location of Half & Half is fairly new and very similar to its sister restaurant in Clayton. With a focus on quality ingredients and recipes, diners looking for brunch staples with a bit of a twist would enjoy themselves here. With menu items like the Veggie Hash, Tess’ Toast, and Chorizo and Guacamole Benedict, there is an option for everyone.
Highway 61 Roadhouse and Kitchen
Buffet lovers unite. This brunch is the perfect spot for a hungry crowd. There is an option for everyone, especially those craving Cajun cuisine. The buffet is stocked full of biscuits, bacon, shrimp, mac and cheese, eggs and red beans and rice. Not all options are savory, though. There are pancakes made to order in flavors such as pecan, blueberry and chocolate chip.
On the weekend, the best tradition comes when the best of breakfast meets the best of lunch. Brunch is the perfect way to end a past week and celebrate a new one. Take a trip to one–or all–of these restaurants and get your brunch on.
