We are having an abnormally chilly August and it is already getting us excited for fall and more importantly fall fashion. While we love summer style, nothing is better than throwing on your layers and enjoying a beautiful St. Louis fall day. 

Flared denim: Say goodbye to the mom jeans trend and hello to flare. If you asked people last fall if they would trade in their skinny cropped jeans for flares, they would’ve probably looked at you like you were crazy. While a class cigarette jean will never go out of style, this fall season is all about the flare. Flare jeans typically have to be worn with heels giving the 70s and 90s inspiration a more elegant feel. The best part? Unlike mom jeans or cigarette pants they don’t have to be skin tight, which means you can pig out on that charcuterie board at the winery this fall and not feel like you are falling out of your jeans. 

Pearl detailing: Who doesn’t love an added feminine flare? Pearl embellishment is all the rage right now. Whether on your jeans or on a jacket or top, you can’t go wrong. Pearls are about as classic as it can get, but designer are still managing to give them a trendy and fun vibe. The ladylike embellished effect will take an ordinary outfit and turn it into something incredible. Pair a white t-shirt with these pearl embellished jeans to put a new spin on a classic look.

Gold hoops: Gold hoops are one trend that isn’t going anywhere. Season after season people continue to love a good pair of gold hoops. This fall the trend will be oversized gold hoops. Similar to the flare jeans, this trend is a nod to the disco area. Gold hoops like the ones pictured below can add a little extra flare to any outfit. Earrings are an easy way to quickly enhance any look.  

Stripes: Stripes are another trend that comes back year after year in different capacities. The trend this fall season? Big bold stripes. Another nod to the 90s, stripes are one trend you will be seeing everywhere this season. The best part about stripes is that their so versatile—you can rock this trend by mixing a stripped shirt with your favorite skirt or jeans or even fully committing to the look with a stripped dress.  

Big Florals: Gone are the days of thinking florals are just for spring. Unlike spring florals, Miranda Priestly would probably agree that florals for fall is somewhat revolutionary. One trend you will definitely be seeing a lot of this fall will be big floral prints, because the colder months deserve some beautiful florals as well. Perfect this trend by opting for darker autumnal themed florals.
