Originally shown at the L.A. County Museum of Art, Sam Durant’s miniature reproductions of U.S. massacre monuments erected to those killed during two centuries of “Indian wars” are part of his proposal to move such actual monuments to D.C.’s National Mall—that is, to a more conscious place in American history. Vast Bhutan: Images from the Phenomenal World
Regina DeLuise’s black-and-white photographs of ornate monastery doors, prayer flags, mysterious covered statues, offering bowls, and monks, lamas, and spiritual pilgrims in the act of prayer document the rich material manifestations of Bhutan’s dominant religion, Vajrayana Buddhism. International Photography Collaborative: China Exhibit
The International Photography Hall of Fame and Museum sent 10 St. Louis photographers to China, where they took part in the Nanjing Federation of the Arts Festival. While there, they traveled to various cities and rural villages and shot lots of photographs along the way. This exhibit is the result. March 13–May 10. Free.
