The following courses are good tests of golf for players of all levels, when played from the tees most appropriate for your handicap or skill level:
- Aberdeen Golf Club: Tight fairways and water demand accuracy.
- Annbriar Golf Course: Good variety of wooded and wind-swept holes.
- Eagle Springs Golf Club: Rolling layout; a good short game is needed here.
- Far Oaks Golf Club: Demanding greens and an open layout are a test.
- Gateway National Golf Links: Wind and rough make this a real test.
- Norman K. Probstein (Forest Park) Community Golf Course: Don’t let the yardage fool you into thinking this is easy.
- The Orchards Golf Club: Creeks, water, and mounding force accuracy and distance control.
- Quail Creek Championship Golf Course: Good variety of holes with strong par-4s.
- Spencer T. Olin Golf Course: Accuracy and length make this demanding.
- Sun Valley Golf Course: Rolling layout and wind demand a variety of shots.
