1. Chouteau Crossing. Clayton-based Green Street Properties is transforming a commercial property at 2301 Choteau, known as Chouteau Crossing, into a sustainable space. With a LEED-registered shell, the renovated building will feature wind turbines and photovoltaic-powered lighting in the parking lot.
2. St. Louis Community College’s Harrison Education Center. The center, a $7.5 million project in north St. Louis aiming to receive LEED Gold certification, is set for completion next May. The 30,000-square-foot building will boast daylight views for 90 percent of the space.
3. Dave Mungenast Lexus of St. Louis. Our fair city will likely soon boast the state’s first LEED-certified car dealership and the first green Lexus dealer in the country. Dave Mungenast Lexus of St. Louis’ new building will reduce potable water by 30 percent and use around 20 percent less energy, making it a dealership in the driver’s seat.
