Need the perfect accessory to go with—or on—your coffee table? Enter the Neiman Marcus Pop Up Book, published in September to mark the store’s 100th anniversary. The creative team behind the project, including esteemed photographer and artist Geof Kern, spent two years planning and producing the book. Kern’s sketches of a young girl time-traveling through Neiman Marcus’ history were drawn and photographed from multiple angles; artist and paper engineer Kees Moerbeek stepped in next to create die cuts and place the components on the page. The result, published in a limited edition, can be purchased in stores or online for $100 (or $125 for a slip-covered version). If that seems pricey for a book, just remember that Neiman’s His and Her Christmas Gift from 2005—a photo booth—sold for $20,000.
