“New” isn’t exactly the right term. In fact, NKOTB circled the block almost 15 years ago, but they’ll try to prove they still have the right stuff when they visit the Scottrade Center on November 10. We asked three former fans about the band—both then and now.

Then: “Back in grade school, my friends and I did a dance routine in the talent show to ‘Cover Girl.’”
Now: “I think their time has come and gone. These guys are all married with kids. Sex sells—I don’t think suburbia does.”
C.J. Saenz, Pride St. Louis President
Then: “When I was a boy, I was in a dance class, and we were choreographed to ‘The Right Stuff.’ I wanted their bedsheets and curtains, but my family wasn’t going to allow that.”
Now: “I think they’ll do well because they had such a big following back then. They’re still talented vocally but need to work towards new stuff and getting a new image.”
Jen Myers, Y98 Morning Show Host
Then: “I did have a crush on Jordan Knight. When he released a solo album several years ago, we brought him in the studio. I didn’t even get a picture because I was too shy. It’s funny how we resort to middle-school ways after all these years.”
Now: “A couple friends want to go see them, so I might use them as my excuse … St. Louis is actually one of the only tour stops that haven’t sold out. Just from touring alone, they’re going to make a fortune.”
