I’ll take a pair of Chip & Pepper jeans, on the rocks, with a twist of dark rinse.
No, this isn’t the latest cocktail—it’s the hippest way to order up your denim. St. Louis’ first jean bar, Elements of Denim, has opened at the Crescent in Clayton’s business district. This one-stop shop for women’s and men’s casual wear will offer over 20 designer jean lines, along with T’s, accessories and fine jewelry. The Denim Menu guides customers to the cuts and styles that will work best for their body type. The store carries well-known brands such as Paige, Seven For All Mankind and J Brand, hard-to-find designer brands like Earnest Sewn, Deener and Habitual, and several eco-friendly lines.
Elizabeth McGee-Malott, the store’s owner, took eco-chic a step further when designing the space. From recycled wood fixtures to natural fiber countertops, the boutique sports several eco-friendly touches. “Going green was an easy choice,” she says. “It isn’t a fad—it’s a lifestyle. You don’t have to sacrifice quality to be environmentally friendly.”
Elements of Denim is at 159 Carondelet Plaza. Call 314-721-9022, or visit elementsofdenim.com.
