The sound will be unmistakable when Angus Young shreds a Spinal Tap–worthy riff and Brian Johnson belts out his crow-like shriek on January 13. But before AC/DC’s signature sound became famous, the band regularly covered legendary local Chuck Berry, with Angus imitating Berry’s legendary duck walk. Now, as the Black Ice World Tour rolls into the Scottrade Center, we wonder whether St. Louis has influenced the Australian rockers in other ways. Case in point: these five song titles and possible STL interpretations.
- Highway to Hell: Any band that takes Highway 40 has to wonder.
- Have a Drink on Me: Maybe before the InBev days.
- High Voltage: Ameren take note: The tour is called Black Ice. A sign of things to come?
- You Shook Me All Night Long: New Madrid’s fault?
- It’s a Long Way to the Top: You’ve seen the Rams’ record, right?
