August ushers in the season of new semesters, changing seasons, and best of all, fall fashion. Sexy and bold, there’s a color for everyone in this fall’s nail polish color palette. Here’s a quick guide to some of my favorite polishes you’re sure to fall in love with this season.
Metallic makeup wasn’t the only metalicious trend taking over the FW13 catwalks. Metallic nail polish from bright gold to shimmering silvers owned the runways. Rock the metallic trend this fall with Essie’s “No Place Like Chrome.” An ode to everyone’s favorite Tin Man, this silver metallic polish is sure to keep your nails on-trend and turning heads.
Red, Red Wine
Dramatic and chic, this fall’s merlot-inspired polish trend is one that’s sure to stick around for seasons to come. It perfectly compliments almost all of fall’s neutral color palettes and gives your nails just the right touch of color. Check out Butter London’s La Moss Nail Lacquer—a staple at Rachel Roy and Dannijo during Fashion Week FW13, you can’t go wrong with this polish.
Black on Black
Black is the new black this fall. A punk trend turned runway favorite, add a layer of clear top coat and make your slick black nails last even longer. Chanel’s Extreme Shine Nail Lacquer brings on the shine in one illustrious bottle, leaving your nails blacker than the night and shinier than ever.
Get Burnt (Orange)
Orange nail polish doesn’t have to be reserved for Halloween. Le Metier de Beaute takes this campy color and makes it one of the trendiest colors of the season. Slightly darker than candy-corn orange, Le Metier’s Clockwork Orange is equal parts playful and delicious.
Coo Coo for Cobalt
Add the perfect pop of color to your fall polish lineup. Yves Saint Laurent’s Bleu Majorelle is cobalt perfection. This peacock blue nail polish is a beautiful hue that easily translates throughout the seasons without overwhelming. Sure to draw attention to your hands, Bleu Majorelle is a must-have hue this fall
