Better Family Life knows how to start a party. "At the beginning, [Mayor Francis Slay] presented a $500,000 check," says BLF spokeswoman Angela Pierce. "That just started the excitement, which just carried over through the night." The benefit brought the community aid organization one giant step closer to renovating one of the buildings it uses for a variety of its services.
