The Snow Ball's 400-or-so artfully outfitted guests only amplified the delicate beauty of the Saint Louis Art Museum's Sculpture Hall. The ethereal was commonplace throughout the evening—ballerinas from the Alexandra Ballet pirouetted as partygoers submitted their taste buds to the thrills of Kobe beef, Maine lobster with black winter truffles and the rich density of a chocolate bombe finale. However, the sweetest treat was the funds raised—more than a quarter-million dollars to support arts-education programs at the museum. Says Karen Castellano, Gala co-chair, "It was a wonderful evening. Sculpture Hall was transformed into a silver and white winter wonderland."
