An Evening With Wild Canid - On Assignment, August 25
Forget Snakes on a Plane. Busch Gardens and SeaWorld flew lemurs and alligators cross-country for the Wild Canid Center's annual gala at Roberts Orpheum Theatre. Sharing space with these animals were 150 guests, who were moved (or perhaps frightened) to donate thousands of dollars to the wolf sanctuary. National Geographic's Joel Sartore, whose photography has helped raised awareness about endangered wild wolves, was honored with Wild Canid's Perkins Partner in Conservation Medal.
