Following cocktails in the Sheldon's Louis Spiering Room, Grand Center honored local arts philanthropists Ken and Nancy Kranzberg for their outstanding contributions to St. Louis culture and arts—including Grand Center itself, of course. A delectable gourmet dinner followed—and even that was but an appetizer to the evening's main course, a sizzling performance by Grammy Award-winning diva Dionne Warwick (a philanthropist in her own right), who belted out the hits to an appreciative crowd in The Sheldon's concert hall. Jazz St. Louis executive director Gene Dobbs Bradford joined in with fluid blues harmonica soloing.
