So I could start this blog post by telling you that on Halloween, a baby colobus monkey was born at the Saint Louis Zoo. I could tell you that the baby monkey's name is Kivuli, which means ghost or shadow in Swahili.
I could tell you that baby colobus monkeys have white hair and a pink face, while the adults are black, with a white ring around their faces and long tufts of white hair extending from their shoulders, although you can see that for yourself at left.
I could even tell you that Kivuli's mother, 13-year-old Cecelia is quite the cougar, given that Kivuli's father is only six-years-old. That might even be illegal in certain states.
I could also tell you that you can see the adorable Kivuli up close and in three dimensions at the zoo's Primate House.
But I'm not going to say any of that, because who am I kidding? This is all really just an excuse to post a photo of a really cute baby monkey. Aren't you glad I did?
