ST. LOUIS, MO – March 14, 2012 – The publisher of St. Louis Magazine and St. Louis AT HOME is pleased to announce the launch of a new semiannual lifestyle publication in the St. Louis market. Titled STL Family, the publication is focused on families and provides St. Louis-area parents with information about raising children here.
“For anyone who has grown up in St. Louis or is raising a family here, it should come as no surprise that this city is a wonderful place to be,” says editor-in-chief Christy Marshall. “STL Family simply celebrates that fact. The magazine is the ultimate resource on parenting, healthcare, fashion, entertainment, shopping, even eating out. It’s everything the St. Louis family should know.”
STL Family will hit newsstands March 30 and all St. Louis Magazine subscribers will receive a copy. Christy Marshall, editor-in-chief of St. Louis AT HOME, is also serving as STL Family’s editor-in-chief. A second issue is planned for November/December 2012. The inaugural issue features family-focused content, and a St. Louis family, the Freemans, is featured on the cover. Angie and Brendan Freeman already had two toddlers when they found out that they were having triplets. The story chronicles how the family of five 5 years old and younger is fairing.
“We recognized that the St. Louis market lacked a lifestyle publication that focuses solely on raising a family in St. Louis,” says publisher Leslie Tunney. “We believe STL Family will quickly become a must-have resource for local families. From birth to teenagers, this publication covers it all. So far, the response from the community has been great and we can’t wait to see what our subscriber base thinks of this new publication.”
STL Family will be available for purchase on local newsstands at Barnes & Noble, Dierbergs, Schnucks, Shop `n Save, and Whole Foods Market. In addition, the new publication can also be found at local doctor’s and dentist’s offices and various local schools.
