It smacks of the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book, you know, the one that always features one unique, over-the-top, stand-alone gift. Although this is not quite on the scale of his and hers Bell helicopters, Chef Fabrizio Schenardi of Cielo at The Four Seasons - St. Louis has teamed up with Moët & Chandon to create a one of a kind Holiday dinner, to be served either at Cielo or an alternate location within the Four Seasons. And yes, only one will be sold. The price? $1000 for 2 guests.
Is tax and tip included in that price? Relish dared not ask such a gauche question, of course, but could not resist one query: What if there's a lot of interest? What if there are two takers, or ten? Amanda Cook, PR spokeswoman for The Four Seasons, replied that if there are multiple requests, then similar, alternate meals can be arranged. "This kind of thing is really tailored to the individual," she said. "One party might want to be served by the fireplace or on the terrace, another might choose the chef's table in the kitchen, or even the privacy of a suite. It's totally customizable, so each dinner can be truly unique."
Contemplating a marriage proposal this season? The Four Seasons just provided a way to do it in style.
